October Beginnings

I realize this will come as a shock to my family members, but I am officially starting our family blog.  My goal is to update it every Sunday so we can keep everyone up to date on our day to day life adventures.

This past week was crazy busy.  Isn't every week?

Benjamin played two soccer games.  The Saturday game was way fun!  He made 4 of the 7 goals for their team (the Titans).

After a fabulous game, Benjamin and Johnnie went with our friends, the Parkers, to a professional soccer game down in Salt Lake City, Real vs. San Jose Earthquakes.  Real won 2:0.

The weekend before this crazy soccer one, Benjamin, Johnnie, Tío Robin, and Tío Derick went to the Priesthood Session of General Conference and then headed to Big Jud's afterwards to share a rather large hamburger.

Meanwhile, Kiersten has been enjoying 3rd grade and clogging.  She is working hard to grow out her hair (she puts special shampoo and oil on it to keep it healthy) and flips it around every chance she gets.  She is very proud of her hair!  What a little pre-teen!

Jonathan has been busy helping me around the house.  He loves to help take care of Michael, clean the bathrooms, and vacuum the floors.  He seems to have the longest attention span for cleaning (out of all the kids) and just loves to be helpful.  In preschool he is learning the letters A-J along with several sight words and some Spanish words.  He is actually catching on to Spanish quite well, especially since we are being more diligent in speaking Spanish in our home every other day.

And then there is Michael.  He is 8 weeks old tomorrow and growing like crazy.  He has just started cooing at us and really lays on the smiles.  He is just plain adorable.

And, to wrap up, we just want to say "Bienvenida" to our new little adorable niece, Emily Andrea.  She was born on Thursday afternoon (October 9th), weighed 7 lbs and measured 18."  Look at all that hair!
